Biblical and Constitutional exegesis

I came across this article at The Claremont Institute's website. I found it a little difficult to read - but very rewarding. (This puts it in the same league with many of their articles.) This one is a review of a book about Biblical and Constitutional exegesis (that is, analysis and application of the text), and a paragraph near the end of the article traces similar changes in the American view of the meaning and application of both documents through the 19th century.
